SHAH ALAM, Jan 2 — The temporary route amenities for Smart Selangor Bus within the vicinity of Taman Sri Muda in Section 25 was prepared in order to boost movement in areas severely affected by the heavy floods on December 18 last year.

State executive councillor Ng Sze Han said this is due to the area's population density, as well as the large spread of area affected.

"The state government via the Shah Alam City Council has prepared temporary route amenities for Smart Selangor Bus, for the convenience of Taman Sri Muda residents affected by the flooding disaster.

"This initiative is to make it easier for them to enter and leave, since many were affected by the damages caused to their vehicles by the floods," he said earlier today.

Ng added the state government will monitor the public's reaction on the temporary route services, before deciding on how long it will operate.

The temporary routes in Taman Sri Muda for the use of local residents affected by the floods began yesterday.

It commences at the Sri Muda Hub, followed by the Sri Muda police station, the Jalan Hasrat stop, the NSK supermarket, Petron Sri Muda, Pangsapuri Andorra, and terminates at the Sri Muda Hub.

The service runs from 6am to 10pm, with a frequency of once every hour.
