SHAH ALAM, Jan 2 — As the floodwaters recede and people rebuild their lives, Selangor state representatives remain hard at work gathering Bantuan Selangor Bangkit (BSB) application forms for flood victims.
Kota Kemuning assemblyman V. Ganabatirau said thus far he has sent over 3,000 application forms involving the Klang district, since Thursday (December 30) until yesterday.
"We are managing the applications in Petaling district, including those in Kampung Bukit Lanchong, Lanchong Jaya, Alam Indah, and Kampung Baru Hicom. Councillors and village chiefs have been requested to bring all copies of identification cards and utility bills.

"To make it more convenient, we have opened a marquee next to the Hindu temple in Section 25, Shah Alam, so that victims can find it easier to send in their forms," he told SelangorKini.
Ganabatirau, who is also the state executive councillor for social welfare, said at present 1,500 flood victims in the Klang district, including Sri Muda, have received the RM1,000 aid.
Meanwhile Pelabuhan Klang assemblyman Azmizam Zaman Huri said up to 3,000 applications have been received for the Pelabuhan Klang state constituency.

"Based on the records, flood victims in Pelabuhan Klang were placed in nine temporary relief centres (PPS) since December 17 last year. Other than that, over 5,000 flood victims were not moved to PPS.
"The BSB distribution for the Pelabuhan Klang state constituency began the day before, and over 100 flood victims from Kampung Perigi Nenas in Pulau Indah received RM1,000. Flood victims are reminded to immediately hand in their forms on January 10," he said.
Yesterday Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said RM3.72 million has been spent on BSB, as of December 31, 2021.
He added the amount will benefit approximately 3,721 families who were affected by the floods, with each family receiving RM1,000.
Alongside this two families of victims who perished in the floods each received RM10,000 in aid.
On December 21, the state government announced a RM100 million fund to kickstart the BSB programme, following the heavy floods that hit the state a fortnight before.
