SHAH ALAM, June 23 — Selgate Healthcare Sdn Bhd (Selgate) has started issuing quotations on vaccines for the industries in Selangor beginning Tuesday (June 22) after receiving over four million applications from various industrial sectors.
Selangor Deputy State Secretary (Development) Dr Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid, who is also the state Economic Planning Unit (Upen) director, said a 50 per cent deposit is required as part of the procurement process.
“There are few companies who have paid for the vaccine procurement and we will refund the deposit if any of their employees have received their vaccination dates earlier through National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).
“They just need to submit an official request for the refund to Selgate,” he said during a Q&A session after a briefing by Invest Selangor Berhad (Invest Selangor) titled ‘Strategic Programme to Empower People and Economy (Pemerkasa +)’.
The programme was officiated by the state executive councillor for investment Dato’ Teng Chang Khim and moderated by Invest Selangor chief executive officer Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris.
The panellist includes the Social Security Organisation (Socso) chief executive officer Datuk Seri Dr Mohammed Azman Aziz Mohammed, Bank Negara assistant governor Adnan Zaylani Mohamad Zahid and Economic Stimulus Implementation and Coordination Unit Between National Agencies (Laksana) project manager Mohd Reza Mohd Hatta.
More than 100 participants including business chambers and local entrepreneurs were present during the briefing.
Meanwhile, Dr Nor Fuad had emphasised that no middlemen were appointed for the vaccine procurement procedure.
“Selgate would like to make it clear that they have never appointed any agents, hence should anyone require further details, please liaise directly with the agency at their head office in Shah Alam or via phone calls,” he added.
