SAY nurtures 50 OKU entrepreneurs, helps business expansion

SHAH ALAM, March 27 — The Selangor Youth Community (SAY) has nurtured 200 entrepreneurs through the SAY Lead programme.

Its chief executive officer Nurul Azwa Rodzi  said out of that total, 50 individuals were persons with disabilities (OKU).

“Through the programme, they were given guidance and training for up to six months to expand their business,” Nurul Azwa said when met after the visit by the Raja Muda Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to the Koperasi Wisma Kohijrah (Warga Hijrah Selangor Berhad), here on Thursday.

In the same event, Nurul Azwa said the inaugural collaboration between SAY Lead and Kohijrah was to assist entrepreneurs to market their products.

“The collaboration also aims to give exposure and assistance to the entrepreneurs in the area of loaning and methods of marketing their products at the Kohijrah Mart physically and via online,” she said.

SAY Lead is a state-led entrepreneurial programme under the purview of Tengku Amir Shah, which aims to connect entrepreneurs and agencies in Selangor and towards creating business opportunities.
