Legal Affairs Division building, IRB Offices closed for sanitisation, disinfection

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 4 — The Legal Affairs Division (BHEUU), the Legal Aid Department (JBG) headquarters and the Malaysian Insolvency Department (MdI) which operate in the Bangunan BHEUU, Precinct 3, Putrajaya will be closed today and tomorrow (Tuesday) for sanitisation and disinfection.

The Corporate Communications Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department’s Legal Affairs Division announced in a statement that the measure was taken to ensure the health and safety of employees and the public who have dealings with the departments at the building.

“As such, all services and face-to-face appointments at the affected departments have been postponed until they reopen on Wednesday (January 6),” the statement read. 

Meanwhile several Inland Revenue Board (IRB) offices in Kompleks Bangunan Kerajaan, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim here will be temporarily closed from tomorrow for sanitisation.

The communications division of IRB chief executive officer’s office announced in a statement tonight that three offices will be closed for tomorrow only, namely the Duta Investigation Branch — Block 8; Duta Branch (Employment) — Block 8A; and Kuala Lumpur Legal Branch — Block 10.

However, the Non-Resident Branch - Block 8; Special Industries Branch — Block 8; Kuala Lumpur Payment Centre — Block 8 A (except the payment counter on the ground floor which will operate as usual); Duta Branch (Business) — Block 10 will be closed from tomorrow till further notice.

As such, all customers are advised to conduct all tax matters online for the duration of the closures.
