SHAH ALAM, Dec 18 — A total of 18 smartphones awaits property holders who register for electronic billing to receive their assessment tax from the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS).
MPS Public Relations Department said the prizes are offered in a lucky draw programme held in conjunction with the launch of the 2021 Assessment Tax’s ‘Register, Pay and Win’ campaign and the MyMPS mobile application on December 21.
“Tax holders who register and update their information at digitalbil.mps.gov.my are qualified to participate in the lucky draw.
“A total of 36,157 account holders or owners have updated the information before October 31,” it said in a statement on Wednesday.
The department added with the switch to electronic billing of assessment taxes they will cease printing of postal bills starting next year.
According to MPS, the move is in line with local authorities efforts to support the Selangor government’s aspirations to become a Smart State and provide better service to the public.
The public is invited to witness the event which will be broadcasted live on MPS Facebook page on December 21, at 3pm.
