Sepang circuit reopens for personal training sessions

KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 — The Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is now back to business after two months of closure, but with several safety measures in adherence to the conditional movement control order (CMCO) to avoid the spread of Covid-19.

According to the newsletter from SIC, the circuit reopened since yesterday, for personal training sessions, with not more than 10 participants allowed in one session.

SIC said to ensure continued safety and health of its staff, racers, teams, partners and fans, several security measures were set based on the procedures from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and National Security Council (NSC).

Among the measures are compelling the guests to register at the designated area before entering the premises, to have their body temperature checked before all entries and to ensure social distancing of one metre.

“Our premises have been cleaned and sanitised to ensure a safe and clean environment for our customers. Always use hand sanitizer and face mask provided by the SIC, wash your hands regularly and practice good hygiene at all time,” according to SIC.

With the reopening of the track, SIC hopes to see race actions soon, together in the fight against Covid-19.
