Stubborn Subang Jaya joggers may face arrest

SHAH ALAM, March 31 — Subang Jaya police have warned residents that they may face arrest if they flout the movement control order (MCO) and continue with outdoor activities.

Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Risikin Satiman said the authorities will no longer tolerate such stubbornness, community news page SJ Echo reported today.

"We will not tolerate your insolent attitude anymore. I have ordered my men to arrest those who continue to ignore the movement control order by going outdoors.

"I am tired of reminding residents of the need to obey the order. Enough is enough,” he was quoted.

Risikin said the public must remain indoors and do not go out with an excuse to exercise, as the country will now enter the second phase of the MCO on April 1, which involves measures that further restricts movement.

He said those who defy the MCO will be detained and charged in court for their irresponsible behaviour.
