KUALA LUMPUR - KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) once again made history after receiving the BestBrands 2019 Prominent Award by The Brand Laureate on 25 September.
The award was received through the category of Best Solid Waste Management Company and had took place at the Grand Ballroom, The Majestic Kuala Lumpur.
Its head of media and public relations, Mahfuzah Muhamad Tarmidi, said the recognition was received for the first time by KDEBWM for successfully managing solid waste collection and public cleanup in Selangor.
“This recognition of the quality of the services provided is a catalyst for us to remain committed to providing the best public solid waste management and cleaning services to the people of Selangor," said Mahfuzah.
"KDEBWM also hopes to expand its services throughout Malaysia and beyond internationally," she added.
At the event, KDEBWM Managing Director, Ramli Mohd Tahir was present to receive the recognition that was presented by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Also present were Asia Pacific Brands Foundation Chairman, Tan Sri Rainer Althoff and its President, Dr KK Johan.
KDEBWM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the state government designated as 'Project Management Company' to collect solid waste and perform public cleanup in Selangor.
The company has previously won the Frost & Sullivan 2019 Asia Pacific Good Practice Award for the 'Smart Waste Solutions Company Of The Year' category.
