Minister of Economic Affairs, Dato 'Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has called on his legal representatives to take legal action against the owner of the Toyol blog of Selangor and any media that repeats the defamation made by the blog on social media and portals,as per media statement issued by Mohd Hassanal Bolqiah, Press Secretary to the Minister of Economic Affairs.
Legal action is to be taken following allegations that Dato 'Seri Mohamed Azmin had a sum of RM 300 million deposited overseas. He has also asked his legal team to file an application to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to identify the owner of the blog for follow-up action to halt the spread of deliberate malicious defamation which can undermine the integrity of the Minister of Economic Affairs. The minister is very disappointed with the attitude of the media who reported the malicious slander based on a totally unreliable source which is akin to gutter politics.
